Categories: Prayers for Business

I am coming to You because sometimes clients say something that hurts me emotionally, financially, legally or something else all together. And I want to remember this prayer for those days.

I care so deeply about giving my clients success so I take what they say and do very personally. But I've learned that sometimes that's the wrong thing to do. This is all my thinking though, I don't want to miss what You expect from me in this situation. And I don't want to care more about what others think of me than what You do or I'll fail to serve them and solve this problem regardless of whether they praise me or hate me. I also don't want to devalue their perspective, needs and desires because my ego can't accept I've disappointed someone.

"Give someone a fish and feed them for a day. Teach someone to fish and feed them for a lifetime." I've learned that sometimes it's my job to give a client "a fish" and other times it's to "teach them to fish" but ultimately I don't need to be offended by what they say. Instead, I need to listen to what You are saying and do that. Because they are human too, and maybe they just woke up on the wrong side of the bed today and don't mean what they say. Or maybe my ego is preventing me from having humility and gratitude to serve them with exactly what they want, need and deserve.

So I'm here to ask You to replace my ego and my way of thinking and "Give me Your eyes for just one second. Show me the things that I keep missing. Give me Your love for humanity." Musician Brandon Heath so I can give to my clients the best possible service, without excuses, with humility and absolute gratitude for another opportunity to be employed.
